The latest 712 Series AP1 and AP2 clubs represent another step forward in iron design, says Titleist general manager, Steve Pelisek, and are already in the hands of leading players on the PGA Tour including Nick Watney, Matteo Manassero and PGA Championship runner-up Jason Dufner.

The New Titleist 712 AP2 Irons are more forgiving and more disctance control. It gives the AP2 player more consistent ball speed over a larger area of the face. The overall goal was to better apply the different materials used in the design.

However, to make them more visually appealing to serious golfers, a compact profile of a traditional forged blade has been introduced and Titleist has integrated new materials in a dual cavity to deliver modern performance and playability. Both the new AP1 and AP2 models, says Titleist, feature sleeker contours using higher density tungsten to distribute mass more efficiently without changing the centre of gravity or blade length. The result is 'consistent ball speed and better distance control.'

Titleist introduces the new Titleist 712 MB Irons featuring improved feel and looks. The MB is classic muscle back forged irons that deliver the looks, feel and performance highly-skilled players demand. Forged from 1025 carbon steel with bright chrome plating, MB irons feature constant blade lengths, minimal progressive offset and a thin topline for superior shotmaking.

MB Irons with Graphite Shaft feature a uniform muscle shape that provides more mass behind the impact area to achieve the quintessential soft, solid feel. This weighting also produces consistent launch angle, backspin and ball speed in order to provide precise distance and shot control demanded by better players. The classic design and traditional feel and responsiveness of the new MB irons will please even the most adamant traditional iron enthusiasts.
